The tribute of the Tarì to Pope Francis

Saturday , November 12 the President of The Tarì Vincenzo Giannotti was received in private audience by Pope Francis at the Vatican.

On the occasion of  the twentieth anniversary of The Tarì Jewellery Centre, the President as a representative of all entrepreneurs of the centre, donated to the Pope an effigy of St. Gennaro, specifically designed and created by the artisans of The Tarì.   This donation, dedicated to the patron saint of Naples, has a symbolic value and concludes the events of the twentieth anniversary of The Tari.

In fact, one of the major events of the year has been dedicated to St. Gennaro: From October 7 to 10, the exhibition of the treasure of Saint Gennaro drew in more than 18.000 visitors. An extraordinary turnout, coinciding with the successful exhibition event Mondo Prezioso.

The Tarì will offer its contribution to the closing event of the Jubilee Year:  The Benefit Concert “with the poor and for the poor” that will take place in the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican, in the presence of Pope Francis, and will be attended by a delegation of entrepreneurs from the Centre.

The Concert is part of the closing of the Jubilee of Mercy, and will host more than 3000 poors, needy, prisoners, homeless, families in difficulty and sick as guests of honor. Performances at the concert will be by the Roman Symphonic Orchestra and the National Choir of Saint Cecilia, directed by Academy Award-winner Ennio Morricone. Alongside them, Monsignor Marco Frisina will direct the choir of the Diocese of Rome in performing several sacred songs.
